I feel like there are two types of Americans… the ones who get REALLY excited and go all out stars and stripes and parades and fireworks and boating for the 4th of July. And those that don’t.

I’ve more or less tried to be the former, although when the day comes I’m usually scrambling to find a festive getup…  probably because I don’t own anything red. Anyone else in the same boat?

This year for the 4th of July weekend, my girlfriends and I are opting to pack our bags and head to Portland, Oregon for a girls weekend away. It will be my first time there so I am very excited! We’ll probably be brewery hopping a bit, but also plan on stopping along the coast to visit Cannon Beach and others in the area (yes–this is me looking for recs!). Hoping to catch at least one fireworks show while we’re there too.
