Excuse the brevity of this post but I really want to share the design plan for our new family room because it features The Everygirl’s furniture collection with Interior Define and those pieces are currently 15% off – ending today!
Here it is! The design plan for our new family room. We’re going to live right by family and friends and this room opens up to the kitchen. It will be where we spend the most time and entertain, so the goal is to maximize seating and coziness for frequent hangouts.
I’d really love a full corner sectional as opposed to a chaise sectional simply to have more seating, but we’re not sure yet if it will fit so we are waiting to get in and measure. But I plan on doing a sectional version of the Caitlin sofa in Oatmeal Heathered Weave fabric which actually looks a bit lighter than this rendering. The leg options on the Caitlin collection completely change the look of the piece from mid-century to contemporary and more. We are doing the natural peg leg for a more traditional, homey feel.
I also want to bring in some color so we’re going to add a big cozy Rose chair in the Gris fabric which actually reads quite blue as opposed to grey. I think it will pair lovely with this gorgeous Interior Define rug (also on sale).
The coffee table, cane chair, lighting, and art we already own!
So that’s the plan!
So you know–Interior Define offers the option to BUY NOW at the sale price and choose your fabric later once you can see swatches. So you don’t have to choose fabric and legs now.
Both the Rose and Caitlin collections come in sofas of many different lenghts, sectionals, chairs, and ottomans!
You can see here how my cofounder Danielle Moss and I have styled the pieces in our various homes throughout the years!
So beautiful!! I was so inspired by your previous living room, any specific reason you are changing out the coffee table? I was thinking about purchasing your Serena wicker and white one.
I explain this more in my instagram stories as a response, but I LOVE and am keeping that coffee table and highly recommend especially for a smaller space. This table shown here is almost twice as wide. We currently have it in our living room but there’s a chance it won’t even fit in the new family room. It’s not a huge room. Hah either way we are keeping both and love both – just depends what room they will both go in!
Love this new look! It feels so cozy but traditional and adult! Would you mind sharing the source of the table lamp? Xx
I love the cane chair. I saw a similar one with the Studio Mcgee collab at Target. Classic and beautiful!
LOVE the new living room plan. Cannot wait to follow along and see how you transform your new home!
One thing I might caution against is the chaise couch. We have one in our living room and LOVE the idea of it before we got it, it seemed really practical and a good alternative to clunky sectional. After living with it for 2 years I would caution anyone against them. It’s really hard to climb in and out of the chaise part of the soft and because there is no back no one sits on it when we entertain, so everyone sitting on the couch gets crammed into the 2 non-chaise seats. Ultimately the couch actually seems smaller as a result, not bigger! If I could do it again I would but a comfy ottoman the coordinated and could be used like a chaise when we wanted it. Not trying to wamp wamp your plan, just adding what I wish I had known before we got ours!
