To make it easier for people to source the things they see in our home on Instagram or wherever, I’m starting this new series SHOP OUR HOME #SchmiedskiGreystone. Sometimes it will be product by room, sometimes it will be a specific item category, like this first one: mirrors.

I’ve bought more mirrors for this place than anything else. I usually have two mirrors in my home aside from what’s in the bathroom; a floor mirror, usually near the front door, and a mirror above my dresser for getting ready. But a larger home calls for more mirrors… I guess?

So–why so many? I’ll explain.

We have one in our living room above the fireplace. One in the entryway for final touch-ups before heading out the door. Two in our master bedroom–the large black floor mirror is the only floor mirror in the house and the round one above the dresser balances the bay windows directly across from it.

I got the new small square mirror from Target to put in our powder room; the French gold mirror I’ve had for a few years, and I knew I wanted the larger Anthropologie one for above our mantel.

Maybe this makes sense? Maybe not. Either way, I love ’em!
